Designer-renovated 106 m2 duplex with wide water views on Java Island, 7 minutes by bike from Central Station, and tram stop nearby. This is my own home on Java Island, recently renovated top to bottom by the Rotterdam design studio Studio WM. I'm studying abroad this winter, so the apartment is available for a stay of three months or more between 1 January and 14 April 2027. The apartment (106 m2, over two floors) - Large, light-filled living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and wide views over the water - Fully equipped open kitchen with an oak island, stone worktop, induction hob, oven, dishwasher and bar seating - Loggia (covered balcony) with a dining table, overlooking the water - Bedroom with queen-size bed, full-length curtains and plenty of wardrobe space - Upstairs: a secluded lounge with a sofa and TV, a quiet den for movie nights - Bathroom with a freestanding bath, rain shower and terrazzo floor - A toilet on each floor - Seamless cast floors, steel-framed glass doors, warm colours and carefully chosen furniture throughout: a home, not a rental unit - Floor heating in the whole apartment - Separate closet with washing machine and dryer - A piano you're welcome to play Working from home? The kitchen bar, the dining table and the loggia all make great workspaces. Suitable for one person or a couple. The apartment is on the third and fourth floor; there is no lift. Included in the rent (€3,995/month, all-in) - Gas, water and electricity - High-speed fibre internet - Bed linen and towels - Two bikes with locks, free to use during your stay The neighbourhood Java Island is one of Amsterdam's most liked residential areas: quiet, green and right on the water, with striking architecture and no through traffic. It's 7 minutes by bike to Central Station, with tram (that takes you straight into the heart of the city) and bus stops a few minutes' walk away. There are cafés and restaurants on the island, and supermarkets a short walk or bike ride away in the surrounding Eastern Docklands. Practical - Available: 1 January – 14 April 2027, minimum stay 3 months (e.g. 1 Jan – 31 Mar, or 15 Jan – 14 Apr) - Registration at this address (inschrijven) is possible - Rent for your first and last month is calculated per day, so you only pay for the nights you stay - Deposit: €7,400 (two months' base rent), rent paid monthly - Minimum age 25, working professional, no pets, no smoking - The plants need some watering; I'll show you the routine Happy to do a video tour.
